listeria outbreak in frozen shakes result in 12 dead

A nationwide recall of products branded as Lyons ReadyCare and Sysco Imperial Frozen Supplement Shakes was prompted due to a deadly listeria outbreak linked to frozen supplement shakes manufactured by Prairie Farms Dairy in Fort Wayne, Indiana and distributed in Fresno. As reported to the FDA, the listeria outbreak infected 38 people and 12 who died.

The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention began investigating these illnesses in 2018, then reopened the investigation in October after new reporting’s of the disease.
